Undersheriff Geier has been in law enforcement since 1984, all with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. He started with the Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer and has since served Crawford County as a Deputy Sheriff, Sergeant, for Lieutenant and Chief Deputy.
From 1993 to 2000, Undersheriff Geier was the handler for Blade, the Sheriff’s Office’s drug detection dog. He and Blade were responsible for assisting agencies in both Kansas and Missouri with drug search warrants. Blade was also utilized in schools in Crawford and Cherokee Counties in Kansas and Barton County Missouri. During a traffic stop in Crawford County Blade alerted on the door panel of the vehicle. The panel was removed and $38,000.00 was located and seized.
